Applies to:​ 

Public or ​​private "projects" that require state or local government agency approval and create a direct or indirect foreseeable change to the environment such as:  

  • Loss of native habitats, trees, species or wetlands
  • Introducing additional traffic
  • Creating odors or noise
  • New sources of air emissions, hazardous materials or pollutants
  • Increasing human population
  • Altering scenery or views
  • Impacting drainage patterns
  • Creating safety hazards
  • Requiring a different land use than existing zoning

What you must do:​ 

  1. Submit your project for approval through the environmental review process for an environmental determination
  2. Obtain approval for your project
  3. Implement any modifications, conditions or mitigations as required by the environmental review
